Mug Pizza Recipe | Microwave Pizza in 2 Minutes

mug pizza recipe

This mug pizza is an amazing recipe. This is one of the must try recipes for me. This pizza is prepared in a mug, in microwave in less than two freaking minutes. Can you ask for more?!

It tastes just like a normal pizza. It's base is soft and light, the pizza sauce gives an amazing flavour when it blends with the cheese. Overall, I would prefer this over ordering a pizza.
For those of you who have trouble finding midnight snacks while on a Netflix binge (like me), this is recipe will come in handy.

Ingredients:

  • Flour- 4 tbsp
  • Salt- 1/8 tsp
  • Baking powder- 1/8 tsp
  • Baking soda- 1/16 tsp
  • Milk- 3 tbsp
  • Oil- 1 tbsp
  • Pizza/ Marinara sauce- 1 tbsp
  • Grated mozzarella cheese- 1+1/2 tbsp
  • Olives- 5 (for topping)

Method:

  • Take a mug and add in flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix all the dry ingredients and then add in milk and oil. Mix everything together to form a smooth dough.
  • After it forms a smooth dough, flatten the top of the dough and add in marinara sauce. Spread the sauce with a spoon.
  • Add in grated cheese and then add on olives or any toppings you prefer.
  • Microwave the pizza for about 1 to 1.30 minutes. You'll need to microwave until the cheese starts to bubble on the top.

Note: The time required to cook varies for different microwaves, so just keep a close eye on the pizza while cooking it. If you're still unsure whether the base is cooked or not, you can insert a toothpick and check if the dough is sticking or not. If it's sticking, then microwave for 10 more seconds. Also, do not confuse the melted cheese with the dough!
