Honey Chilli Soya Chunks Recipe

This is one amazing healthy recipe. Healthy and tasty don't really go hand in hand very often, but this recipe is a good example of healthy and yummy! Hope you like this honey chilli soya chunks recipe as much I did.

I previously posted this recipe on a recipes group on facebook, I got such a good response there so I thought I should post it here too. Sorry for no step by step pictures.

The overwhelming response on the facebook group

  • Soya chunks- 1/2 cup
  • Vegetables chopped lengthwise - capsicum, carrot and onions
  •  Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
  •  Salt- as per taste
  •  Chili flakes - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar- 1 tsp
  •  Honey- 1 tbsp
  •  Tomato ketchup- 2 to 3 tbsp
  •  Soya sauce- 1 tbsp
  •  Vinegar- 1 tbsp
  • Garlic cloves- 2 to 3 chopped
  • Chopped ginger- 1 tsp
  • Black pepper- 1/2 tsp

  • Boil the soya chunks for 5 to 7 minutes till they are double in size, then strain them and squeeze out all the water out from them.
  •  Cut the soya chunks in half and keep them aside.
  • In a pan, add olive oil, heat it a little. Add garlic and ginger, then add onions and spices. Then add carrots and capsicum. Sauté them and add all the sauces. Mix it well.
  • Add the sugar and honey. The sugar will caramelise and give a nice flavour. Add all the chunks and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Done!! Serve hot.
